The mountain and the journey
During a recent Meditation Circle, I read an excerpt from Yoga by Emmanuel Carrère that beautifully captures what meditation really is — not escaping our experience, but being with it. He ends with a Zen poem about a mountain that keeps changing shape — a reminder that the path of meditation, like life itself, is less about reaching the top and more about learning to truly see.
